faqQ: What size does the Garden Escape come in?

A: The Garden Escape is available in a comprehensive range of standard sizes, our most popular being: 9.6, 10.2, 12, 13.8, 15.6, 17.4, 20.8, 23, and 27.3 square metres. We also offer a bespoke service which enables you to tailor the dimensions very much to your own requirements and allotted space. These start from 8 sq metres and go up to 30 sq metres.

 

Q: How much does it cost?

A: As an example, our 14.1 sq metre Garden Escape, in either our 'Contemporary' or 'Cube' designs, would cost £21,500 + vat.

Dimensions: External 3.3m x 5.0m : Internal 3.0m x 4.7m

The price includes:

  • Provision of suitable foundations.
  • Installation in mainland UK, by our skilled Technicians.

    • From conception to installation of a complete 'ready to go' Garden Escape.

Q: How well is it insulated?

A: We have consulted with the leading construction companies to come up with the best and most up to date insulation systems around. The design is between 30-40% better insulated than most homes. (See specification details).

 

faqQ: Will I need planning permission?

A: In the vast majority of cases planning permission will not be required. Our design is well within the permitted height constraints. As long it is suitably positioned away from your property and you're not restricting views to any public highway you should be okay. There are of course the odd exceptions; conservation areas, areas of outstanding natural beauty, construction on a site where there is a 'listed' building, however most Local Authorities will give it the green light. Overall it is rare that a planning application has to ever be filled out.

 

Q: What sort of foundations are required?

A: Basically all you need is to give us is a flat level surface and we will do the rest! The Garden Escape stands rigidly on 6-12 concrete 'piles', which are all within the price. We can easily place them on existing concrete and tarmac foundations. We would be pleased to conduct a survey which is free of charge with no obligations attached. You will then see that the versatile garden escape design can be positioned virtually anywhere your heart desires.

 

faqQ: Can I have plumbing installed i.e. a shower or sauna?

A: Yes, as long as you have water utilities to your main building. We can give you a competitive quote for linking up with your Garden Escape along with drainage requirements. We have incorporated into the design provisions to connect to any of the utilities that you may require.

 

Q: How soon can I have one?

A: Obviously we are finding that each customer’s requirement is quite unique in terms of positioning, personal preferences with utilities, decoration, landscaping etc. but we pride ourselves in providing a ‘ready to go' garden building much sooner than you think!
